1. Also, one can be overpowered, but two together can put up resistance. A three-ply cord doesn’t easily snap.
   
   
2. Then the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone I will make him a helper fit for him
   
   
3. He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.
   
   
4. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
   
   
5.  Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
   
   
6. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
   
   
7.  However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
   
   
8. Peace I leave with you  my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

21. No sooner did I depart from them than I found the one whom I love with all my heart. I held on to him and now I won’t let him go, until I’ve brought him to my mother’s house, to the chamber of the one who conceived me.
    
    
22. A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.
    
    
23. Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
    
    
24. And now these three remain faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
    
    
25. Let all that you do be done in love.

46. So continue encouraging each other and building each other up, just like you are doing already.
    
    
47. But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.
    
    
48. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.

50. This is my commandment love one another just as have I loved you.
